Here's mentioning you about a wonderful movie, I saw off lately. Yes, I'm talking about Guzaarish, A movie that redefines LOVE , a very different movie filled with rich characterization. I have read its made out of combination of two Hollywood movies but I really wish it should be known among the path-breaking, movie that questions all the norms of human understanding.

I adore the way the plot is directed, the originality of every character portrayed, the beautiful screenplay, ' I mean "How beautiful it feels to see a lovely car moving in the middle of well- lined coconut tress on both the sides and clear blue skies at the backdrop following the sight of children playing on the green lawn of earth". It's so vividly descriptive about life but on the contrary the magician himself fighting against life for his death. The music is simply a delight to ears and it varies from the usual filmy music.

The movie questions all of us who fight for life but here is an character who fights for his death. It amazes me to see the magician's character and his desire for death brought up so convincingly in the movie. Though physically disabled , but the passion with which he teaches Omar is also remarkable. The theme of love in various forms , the loyalty of his servants, his friendships, the betrayal from his best friend and his internal battle for death, is successfully portrayed in the movie. The unconditional love of a mother, Estella's sacrifice and Sophia's loyalty, the doctor's care, his lawyer friend Devyani visiting him daily, all which convey various faces of love.

It's utmost tragic to see a top magician who once did wonders on stage , can't even drive a fly or protect himself the water droplets falling off from his leaking roofs. This scene convinces even the audience to accept his demand for Euthanasia. He knows " How beautiful life is?" when he does his radio shows and motivates people to live but still hopes for death which will be more beautiful to him at this stage. After all, What matters is not how long you live but how well you live, a "Life of Dignity". The magician Ethan demands for a"Death of Dignity".

All I can say is that 'Guzaarish' has got an incredible depth, which makes us rethink on our point of view on life and death. 'Guzaarish' truly redefines love and life.
